I have posted earlier info on the surgery for the penile implant which  I had on July 20th.  Today, I went to my urologist for the first  inflation of the chambers, and guess what guys?  It works great.  The  doctor did the first inflation, then I deflated it.  Then, I inflated  and deflated it again.  It is truly amazing to feel the penis swell up  again like it has a mind of it’s own!    It will take some practice with both steps, but I am pleased with the  result.    Any questions, feel free to ask.

  1. After debating for about two years, I am down to the issue of shortening. Do you think it was the prostate surgery that shortened or the implant? If I am small to start with, is the shortening enough to make a significant difference? Is it a very noticeable lack of length or just something you see because you are looking for it? In other words, will the wife notice either by looking or during sex? I know its been a long time for you but did you gain noticeable girth ( all uros state this). As you practice, I will be interested to know if you need to get away to pump (bathroom) or if it really goes so fast that the procedure can be done without the wife noticing. To anyone who has done the shots and now has an implant, I would also like an opinion if you would go with the implant when the shot is working 75% of the time.

  2. For the last 3-4 years, I had been bothered by a persistent itching, redness, and irritation underneath the foreskin, particularly troublesome in hot weather. I had seen 4 different doctors about the problem, and 2 of them recommended circumcision. I basically grew tired, despite my best attempts at personal hygiene (frequent soap and water), of smearing one cream or lotion after another on my glans in order to lessen the irritations. The circumcision had nothing to do with the implant.

  3. Good questions Tom, and I will honestly answer. I pumped up and had a good ‘ol-fashioned masturbation this morning before getting out of bed. My penis looks very much like it did before, but now I am circumcised – it is hard, straight, and full. It does not quite have the length it did before prostate cancer surgery, but I knew that was going to be the case. Over time, it is possible I will regain some length (that is what the doctor and others who’ve had the procedure have told me). After all, my penis has been more or less dormant for 8 years, so now that it is out of hibernation, I guess it needs some time to get wide awake, or at least more awake. The glans (head) swells just as before – this is not always the case I’m told. In fact, I think to look at my erect penis now the only person who would know there is “machinery” in there would be me. The head is nice and firm, not limp at all. And with some practice, I think I’ll be able to pump up and down with the stealth of a night burglar. Since at this point I’ve really only pumped up once solo, and that was lying down, the degree of angle is something I’ll have to check the next time, when I’m standing up. I’m thinking it won’t return to the stand-up-at-attention status of when I was 16-17, but it will be fully hard for penetration and that is the goal. I’m happy with what I have regained. I don’t how far “down” the tubes go, but yesterday when I examined the demonstration device in the doctor’s office, I couldn’t believe all that stuff was now in my body. :) Anything else, just ask. -Will

  4. Hi, does it make your penis look anything like it did when it got hard on its own? Does the head swell up too? or does the head just loosely sit on top? Also, one more wquestion. when your pumped up, does it face up? or do the tubes not go down far enough to make it point up by your belly? Thanks, Tom K.
